Going to train with Chris at Personal Training Team is the best part of my day. Both Chris and Personal Training Team have had a profound impact on my life as far as getting physically fit and healthy. The thing is, the true rewards I have reaped from working out at Personal Training Team can’t just be measured in lost pounds or inches, it goes a lot deeper than that and is not easily explained. Not only have I lost weight, and gotten stronger, but I have learned so much about myself although I do admit that my physical strength has increased tenfold. But, my mental strength has become an untapped resource that I never thought I had. Chris has helped me discover that with discipline, and determination, I can do anything, and that includes bench presses and yes, even pushups! Personal Training Team is exactly what the name implies-personal. The individualized attention I receive is so well worth it! It’s so nice to go to train at a place that treats you like you are not just a membership number, but like a unique individual that has their own goals (and for me, quirks! :-)

"I was shocked when I was labeled obese.
I had always been skinny, but at 44, the weight had crept up on me. I had way too much belly fat. It was recommended by a friend that I try the Personal Training Team in Redmond. She knew of someone who had great success there. So I signed up for 3 days/week for 3 months. It was the best thing I ever did! I weighed 222 lbs. at the initial assessment. After 3 months of working with a trainer and following the nutritional advice I was given, I lost 23 lbs. and 5 inches off my belly! I absolutely met my goals and more! I feel so much lighter on my feet and am currently able to hang with my fitness boot camp that I had to quit last year. I loved it so much, I am thinking about going back -- the results I got were amazing. I lost 8% body fat and I think even my sleep apnea has been better since I lost that weight. Vicki's Transformation

"I
am sick and tired of being sick
and tired and I am tired of being
fat!" That's what the grandmother
of four expressed to Dianne Cumberland
of Personal Training Team when they
first met in November of 2004.
Vicki was 53 years
old and very unhappy about how she
felt and looked for the last 10
years. "Since menopause, nothing
I tried has worked," she said,
"and I need help." Her
goal was to get in shape and feel
young again. She felt comfotable
with the maturity of our training
team knowing that we could relate
to the challenges that face us as
we continue to age and decided to
get started.

Still
at a Desk...But Not Fat, Lazy or Depressed
Anymore

"I
used to be fat and lazy and depressed,
but it wasn't always that way. I work
for Microsoft and sit at a desk most of
the time. Occasionally I run down the
hall screaming, but that doesn't really
pass for exercise. A friend at work got
me into mountain biking and I fell in
love with the outdoors. I would ride every
weekend with serious religion. I got into
pretty good shape, lost a lot of weight.
Then disaster happened. My knees started
to hurt so badly that I couldn't walk.
Three physical therapists, two personal
trainers, and a dual-knee arthroscopy
operation later, I was fat and lazy and
depressed. Again. No biking, no running,
no outdoors. Life sucked.
Then my fiance found the Personal Training
Team website. There was a picture of this
sexy chick riding a mountain bike, and
she looked like she was in great shape!
Her story was similar to mine, so I thought
"What the hell, I'll give her a go."
I started working
with Nancy twice a week, and she relentlessly
kicked my butt. She got me eating right,
motivated, and set goals that we could
work towards... including getting back
on my bike.

She had me see
a podiatrist so I could get orthotic inserts
(key to knee recovery!), sent me to therapeutic
massage, and I also saw a chiropractor.
All of this, coupled with regular workouts
and eating right... I was back on my bike
in 6 months. Now
I ride three times a week, I go to the
Pro Club, and I'm not fat. Or lazy. Or
depressed.
I'm happy, thanks to Nancy and Dianne's
persistence, support, and attitude towards
fitness and life. I'd recommend them to
anyone looking to improve their life experience."
